{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-34-43-112","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 34-43-112","heading":"Placer claim certificate - recording - manner of locating.","body":"(1) The discoverer of a placer claim, within thirty days from the date of discovery, shall record his claim in the office of the recorder of the county in which said claim is situated by a location certificate, which shall contain:\n\n(a) The name of the claim, designating it as a placer claim;\n\n(b) The name of the locator;\n\n(c) The date of location;\n\n(d) The number of acres or feet claimed; and\n\n(e) A description of the claim by such reference to natural objects or permanent monuments as shall identify the claim.\n\n(2) Before filing such location certificate the discoverer shall locate his claim:\n\n(a) By posting upon such claim a plain sign or notice containing the name of the claim, the name of the locator, the date of discovery, and the number of acres or feet claimed;\n\n(b) By marking the surface boundaries with substantial posts, sunk into the ground, one at each angle of the claim.","path":["Title 34 - MINERAL RESOURCES","Article 43 - Claims - How Located"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-34.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"824bc8f8e6035e5ec2869d49fb772917e23d0482b48bae879f2c1a41654c33bb","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-34-43-111","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-34-43-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
