{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-35-14-124.5","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 35-14-124.5","heading":"Disciplinary powers.","body":"(1) The commissioner may deny an application for, refuse to renew, revoke, or suspend a license or certificate or place a licensee or certificate holder on probation, if such person has:\n\n(a) Violated any provision of this article or of any rule adopted by the commissioner under this article;\n\n(b) Been convicted of a felony under any state or federal law; except that, in considering a conviction of a felony, the commissioner shall be governed by section 24-5-101, C.R.S.;\n\n(c) Committed fraud or deception in the procurement or attempted procurement of a license or certificate;\n\n(d) Failed to comply with a lawful order of the commissioner concerning the administration of this article;\n\n(e) Been convicted of deceptive trade practices under any state or federal law;\n\n(f) Used a commercial weighing or measuring device or moisture-testing device in deceptive trade practices in violation of any state or federal law.\n\n(2) All proceedings concerning the denial, refusal to renew, revocation, or suspension of a license or certificate or the placing of a licensee or certificate holder on probation shall be conducted pursuant to article 4 of title 24, C.R.S.\n\n(3) Any previous violation of this article by an applicant or associate of the applicant shall be sufficient grounds for denial of a license. For purposes of this subsection (3), \"associate\" means:\n\n(a) A person associated with the applicant in the business for which such applicant seeks to be licensed or certified;\n\n(b) A partner, officer, director, or stockholder of more than thirty percent of the outstanding shares of a partnership or corporation, when such partnership or corporation is the applicant.","path":["Title 35 - AGRICULTURE","Article 14 - Measurement Standards"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-35.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"66bcdc530111bbdc4de273477c753b46e6e4b66d29b588d5eeae9f2123b5a34b","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-35-14-124","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-35-14-125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
