{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-38-10-112","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 38-10-112","heading":"Void agreements.","body":"(1) Except for contracts for the sale of goods which are governed by section 4-2-201, C.R.S., and lease contracts which are governed by section 4-2.5-201, C.R.S., in the following cases every agreement shall be void, unless such agreement or some note or memorandum thereof is in writing and subscribed by the party charged therewith:\n\n(a) Every agreement that by the terms is not to be performed within one year after the making thereof;\n\n(b) Every special promise to answer for the debt, default, or miscarriage of another person;\n\n(c) Every agreement, promise, or undertaking made upon consideration of marriage, except mutual promises to marry.\n\n(2) Repealed.","path":["Title 38 - PROPERTY - REAL AND PERSONAL","Article 10 - Frauds - Statute of Frauds"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-38.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"adaa7964a74ecc2afbbf586ad6160d0586bea34a2e2390c5165f2ba688a4850d","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-38-10-111.5","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-38-10-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
