{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-4-9-325","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 4-9-325","heading":"Priority of security interests in transferred collateral.","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this section, a security interest created by a debtor is subordinate to a security interest in the same collateral created by another person if:\n\n(1) The debtor acquired the collateral subject to the security interest created by the other person;\n\n(2) The security interest created by the other person was perfected when the debtor acquired the collateral; and\n\n(3) There is no period thereafter when the security interest is unperfected.\n\n(b) Subsection (a) of this section subordinates a security interest only if the security interest:\n\n(1) Otherwise would have priority solely under section 4-9-322 (a) or 4-9-324; or\n\n(2) Arose solely under section 4-2-711 (3) or 4-2.5-508 (5).","path":["Title 4 - UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE","Article 9 - Secured Transactions","Part 3 - PERFECTION AND PRIORITY"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-04.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"39da54970c5080fc31efc45e010d96f730e3155b642cf76f4aef7f710fe86b07","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-4-9-324","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-4-9-326"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
