{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-40-6.5-101","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 40-6.5-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this article 6.5, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Agricultural consumer\" means a public utility customer whose utility service is classified as an agricultural user or an irrigation user pursuant to a utility tariff established by the commission or a public utility customer who is seeking such tariff status.\n\n(1.3) \"Board\" means the utility consumers' board created in section 40-6.5-102 (3)(a).\n\n(2) \"Commission\" means the public utilities commission created in article 2 of this title.\n\n(2.2) \"Director\" means the director of the office, appointed pursuant to section 40-6.5-102 (1).\n\n(2.4) \"Executive director\" means the executive director of the department of regulatory agencies, appointed pursuant to section 24-34-101 (1)(a).\n\n(2.8) \"Office\" means the office of the utility consumer advocate created in section 40-6.5-102 (1).\n\n(3) \"Public utility\" means an electric utility or gas utility.\n\n(4) \"Residential consumer\" means a public utility customer whose utility service is limited to his residence.\n\n(5) \"Small business consumer\" means a public utility customer whose utility service is classified as a small business user or a small commercial user pursuant to a utility tariff established by the commission or a public utility customer who is seeking such tariff status.\n\n(6) \"Telecommunications service\" means the offering of telecommunications for a fee directly to the public, or to such classes of users as to be effectively available directly to the public, regardless of the facilities used.","path":["Title 40 - UTILITIES","Article 6.5 - Office of the Utility Consumer Advocate"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-40.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"0cde8477e3362e6fba923236ab19be59f61dbdac97e7fcea6f9a272d23ab6dc5","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-40-6-124","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-40-6.5-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
