It is further declared that the regulation by the public utilities commission under the \"Public Utilities Law\", articles 1 to 7 of this title, may be duplicative of the self-regulation by the association and may be neither necessary nor cost-effective. It is therefore the purpose of this part 1 to determine the necessity of regulation by the public utilities commission by allowing cooperative electric associations to exempt themselves from regulation by the public utilities commission.","path":["Title 40 - UTILITIES","Article 9.5 - Cooperative Electric Associations","Part 1 - GENERALLY"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-40.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"23b44ee0e872e3208ee2335d163b5372485611a797780371377f363ddc77cbc6","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-40-9-110","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-40-9.5-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
