{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-7-58-803","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 7-58-803","heading":"Qualifications of directors.","body":"(1) Unless the articles or bylaws otherwise provide, and subject to subsection (3) of this section, each director of a limited cooperative association must be an individual who is a member of the association or an individual who is designated by a member that is not an individual for purposes of qualifying and serving as a director; except that initial directors need not be members or designees of a member. A director must be at least eighteen years of age.\n\n(2) Unless the articles or bylaws otherwise provide, a director may be an officer or employee of the limited cooperative association.\n\n(3) If the articles or bylaws provide for nonmember directors, the number of nonmember directors may not exceed:\n\n(a) One, if there are two to four directors;\n\n(b) Two, if there are five to eight directors; or\n\n(c) One-third of the total number of directors if there are at least nine directors.\n\n(4) The articles or bylaws may provide qualifications for directors in addition to those in this section.","path":["Title 7 - CORPORATIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS","Article 58 - Uniform Limited Cooperative Association Act","Part 8 - DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-07.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"371d2e46f838da15a565fb00cd1d1bbdd77ea66a911254c76f236582b5eac15b","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-7-58-802","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-7-58-804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
