{"data":{"id":"us-co/c.r.s.-8-83-226","jurisdiction":"us-co","citation":"C.R.S. § 8-83-226","heading":"Responsibilities of governor.","body":"(1) The governor shall perform the following functions, as specified in the federal act:\n\n(a) Appoint members to the state council in accordance with section 24-46.3-101 (2), C.R.S.;\n\n(b) Establish criteria for local elected officials to use in appointing members of local work force investment boards;\n\n(c) Designate federal work force development areas in consultation with the local elected officials, including local work force investment areas requesting to be a part of the federal work force investment area comprising a consortium of work force areas;\n\n(d) Designate, modify, and terminate work force investment areas in the state, including temporary designation, and establish an appeal process for review of such decisions;\n\n(e) Certify designated work force investment boards and the local consortium work force development board;\n\n(f) Negotiate with the federal department of labor concerning the contents of the state plan; and\n\n(g) Carry out such other duties and functions as may be required under the federal act.","path":["Title 8 - LABOR AND INDUSTRY","Article 83 - Workforce Development","Part 2 - CAREER ADVANCEMENT ACT"],"source_url":"https://olls.info/crs/crs2026-title-08.htm","current_through":"Colorado Revised Statutes 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:37:45Z","sha256":"a3a9aa9766b6d42260b7710bc424b2f723907066d53e7abcfe43d74a440b8ca4","source_id":"us-co","stale":false,"prev":"us-co/c.r.s.-8-83-225","next":"us-co/c.r.s.-8-83-227"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
