Code § 1-609.08","heading":"Statutory officeholders.","body":"(a)\nThe following employees of the District shall be deemed to be in the Excepted Service. Their terms of office shall be at the pleasure of the appointing authority, or as provided by statute for a term of years, subject to removal for cause as may be provided in their appointing statute:\n(1)\nCity Administrator;\n(2)\nRepealed;\n(3)\nThe Director of the Campaign Finance Board;\n(4)\nRepealed;\n(5)\nAuditor of the District of Columbia;\n(6)\nThe Chairman and members of the Public Service Commission;\n(7)\nThe Chairman and members of the Board of Parole;\n(8)\nExecutive Director of the Public Employee Relations Board;\n(9)\nSecretary to the Council;\n(10)\nRepealed;\n(11)\nRepealed;\n(12)\nExecutive Director of the Office of Employee Appeals;\n(13)\nRepealed.\n(14)\nBudget Director to the Council;\n(15)\nThe Chief Administrative Law Judge and the Administrative Law Judges of the Office of Administrative Hearings;\n(16)\nThe Chief Tenant Advocate of the Office of the Tenant Advocate;\n(17)\nThe Real Property Tax Ombudsman of the Office of the Real Property Tax Ombudsman;\n(18)\nThe Chairperson and members of the Rental Housing Commission; and\n[(19)]\nDirector of the Students in the Care of D.C.
