Code § 10-1202.07","heading":"President and Chief Executive Officer; appointment and duties.","body":"(a)\nThe Board, by majority vote, shall employ a President and Chief Executive Officer to run the day-to-day affairs of the new convention center, District sports and entertainment facilities, and the Authority. The President and Chief Executive Officer shall be a resident of the District and shall remain a District resident for the duration of his or her employment by the Authority. Failure to maintain District residency shall result in a forfeiture of the position.\n\n(a-1)\nThe General Manager of the Washington Convention Center Authority serving on March 3, 2010, shall become the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Authority.\n\n(b)\nThe President and Chief Executive Officer shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:\n(1)\nAssist in the preparation of the budgets and annual reports;\n(2)\nAdminister all operating policies, rules, and regulations adopted by the Board;\n(3)\nEmploy personnel;\n(4)\nPromote and secure bookings, events, and productions for the new convention center and District sports and entertainment facilities; and\n(5)\nPerform such other duties as may be authorized by the Board for the effective and efficient management of the Authority and its facilities.\n\n(c)\nThe termination of the President and Chief Executive Officer shall require the concurrence of a majority of the Board.","path":["Title 10.
