Code § 19-1703.11","heading":"Disposition of unappointed property under released or unexercised nongeneral power.","body":"(a)\nTo the extent a powerholder releases, ineffectively exercises, or fails to exercise a nongeneral power of appointment:\n(1)\nThe gift-in-default clause controls the disposition of the unappointed property; or\n(2)\nIf there is no gift-in-default clause or to the extent the clause is ineffective, the unappointed property:\n(A)\nPasses to the permissible appointees if:\n(i)\nThe permissible appointees are defined and limited; and\n(ii)\nThe terms of the instrument creating the power do not manifest a contrary intent; or\n(B)\nIf there is no taker under subparagraph (A) of this paragraph, passes under a reversionary interest to the donor or the donor's transferee or successor in interest.","path":["Title 19.
