Code § 19-1704.03","heading":"Method of release.","body":"(a)\nFor the purposes of this section, the term \"record\" means information that is inscribed on a tangible medium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is retrievable in perceivable form.\n\n(b)\nA powerholder of a releasable power of appointment may release the power in whole or in part:\n(1)\nBy substantial compliance with a method provided in the terms of the instrument creating the power; or\n(2)\nIf the terms of the instrument creating the power do not provide a method or the method provided in the terms of the instrument is not expressly made exclusive, by a record manifesting the powerholder's intent by clear and convincing evidence.","path":["Title 19.
