Code § 2-1596","heading":"Membership.","body":"(a)\nThe Commission shall include the:\n(1)\nMayor, who shall serve as Chair;\n(2)\nChairman of Council of the District of Columbia;\n(3)\nChair of the Committee on Human Services;\n(4)\nChief Judge, Family Court, Superior Court of the District of Columbia;\n(5)\nDeputy Mayor for Education;\n(6)\nCity Administrator;\n(7)\nState Superintendent of Education;\n(8)\nChancellor of the District of Columbia Public Schools;\n(9)\nChair of the Public Charter School Board;\n(10)\nDirector of the Department of Human Services;\n(11)\nDirector of the Child and Family Services Agency;\n(12)\nDirector of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services;\n(13)\nDirector of the Department of Corrections;\n(14)\nDirector of the Department of Health;\n(15)\nDirector of the Department of Mental Health;\n(16)\nChief of the Metropolitan Police Department;\n(17)\nDirector of the Court Social Services Agency;\n(18)\nAttorney General for the District of Columbia;\n(19)\nDirector of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council;\n(20)\nDirector of the Department of Parks and Recreation;\n(21)\nDirector of the District of Columbia Public Library;\n(22)\nExecutive Director of the Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation;\n(23)\nPresident of the State Board of Education; and\n(24)\nIn consultation with youth service advocates and organizations throughout the community, 5 members from the community, appointed by the Mayor, in accordance with subsection (c) of this section.\n\n(b)\nThe Mayor, by order, may appoint additional members to the Commission, as necessary.\n\n(c)\n(1)\nThe members of the community appointed pursuant to subsection (a)(24) of this section shall include:\n(A)\nA local funder of youth service and development activities;\n(B)\nA representative of the early childhood education community;\n(C)\nA representative of the youth service provider community;\n(D)\nA representative from the post-secondary preparedness community; and\n(E)\nAn expert on primary and secondary education policy.\n(2)\nMembers of the community appointed pursuant to subsection (a)(24) of this section may be rotated or changed based upon the agenda for each Commission meeting.","path":["Title 2.
