To see the current law, click this link Current Version*\n      \n\n(a)\nUpon request for abbreviated probate contained in a petition for probate, the Register of Wills:\n(1)\nMay admit a will to probate; and\n(2)\nShall appoint one or more personal representatives based on the statements contained in the petition for probate.\n\n(b)\nThe Register of Wills may require additional verified proof, which shall be filed in the proceeding.\n\n(c)\nThe finality of abbreviated probate shall be governed by § 20-331.","path":["Title 99.
