Code § 21-1205","heading":"Rules and regulations for implementation.","body":"(a)\nWithin 90 days of the effective date of this chapter, the Mayor shall issue proposed rules and regulations to implement this chapter. The rules and regulations issued shall include procedures for:\n(1)\nObtaining and filing written instructions and notification required by this chapter;\n(2)\nPeriodic review of written instructions;\n(3)\nStorage of medication;\n(4)\nRecord keeping;\n(5)\nInitial and ongoing training for certification and recertification for all program employees to administer medication;\n(6)\nThe administration of medication in emergency or life-threatening circumstances;\n(7)\nThe provision of general supervision by registered nurses of trained employees;\n(8)\nThe provision for the successful completion of training for program employees pursuant to this chapter;\n(9)\nThe monitoring of trained employees who may administer medication to program participants; and\n(10)\nThe development of assessment tools.\n\n(b)\nTraining programs for all program employees who may be authorized to administer medication in accordance with this chapter shall be approved by the Mayor or shall be medication administration programs approved by the State of Maryland or the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Mayor may enter into agreements of reciprocity with other jurisdictions, under which training programs approved in such jurisdictions shall also be accepted in the District of Columbia.","path":["Title 21.
