Code § 22-4251","heading":"Comprehensive Homicide Elimination Strategy Task Force.","body":"(a)\nThere is established a Comprehensive Homicide Elimination Strategy Task Force (\"Task Force\"). The Task Force shall develop a report on successful violence prevention and intervention strategies that can be used to eliminate homicides in the District of Columbia.\n\n(b)\n(1)\nThe Task Force shall be comprised of 20 representatives from among the following entities, of which one-third shall constitute a quorum:\n(i)\nGovernment agencies;\n(ii)\nNonprofit organizations;\n(iii)\nBusinesses;\n(iv)\nEducational institutions;\n(v)\nVictim services organizations;\n(vi)\nSocial services organizations;\n(vii)\nReligious organizations;\n(viii)\nMental and behavioral health organizations;\n(ix)\nOrganized labor;\n(x)\nCriminal justice reform organizations; and\n(xi)\nAdvisory Neighborhood Commissions.\n(2)\nOf the 20 representatives, 10 shall be appointed by the Mayor and 10 shall be appointed by the Chairman of the Council no later than 60 days after October 1, 2017.\n(3)\nThe Mayor and the Chairman of the Council shall each designate a co-chair of the Task Force, one each from the government and non-government sectors.\n\n(c)\nNo later than June 1, 2021, the Task Force shall hold at least 3 public meetings and shall submit the report required in subsection (a) of this section to the Mayor and the Council.\n\n(d)\nRepealed.","path":["Title 22.
