Code § 24-911","heading":"Definitions.","body":"For the purposes of this subchapter, the term:\n\n(1)\n\"Juvenile\" means any individual under 18 years of age and any child, as defined in § 16-2301(3).\n\n(2)\n\"Penal institution\" shall have the same meaning as provided in § 22-2603.01(6).\n\n(3)\n\"Room confinement\" means the involuntary restriction of a juvenile alone, other than during normal sleeping hours or facility-wide lockdowns, in a cell, room, or other area.\n\n(4)\n\"Secure juvenile facility\" means a secure juvenile residential facility, as defined in § 22-2603.01(7), or a secure residential treatment facility for juveniles that is owned, operated, or under the control of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services.","path":["Title 24.
