Code § 29-102.05","heading":"Correcting filed record.","body":"(a)\nA person on whose behalf a filed record was delivered to the Mayor for filing may correct the record if the:\n(1)\nRecord at the time of filing contained an inaccuracy;\n(2)\nRecord was defectively signed; or\n(3)\nElectronic transmission of the record to the Mayor was defective.\n\n(b)\nTo correct a filed record, the parties to the record shall deliver to the Mayor a statement of correction.\n\n(c)\nA statement of correction shall:\n(1)\nNot state a delayed effective date;\n(2)\nBe signed by the person correcting the filed record;\n(3)\nIdentify the filed record to be corrected or have attached a copy and state the date of its filing;\n(4)\nSpecify the inaccuracy or defect to be corrected; and\n(5)\nCorrect the inaccuracy or defect.\n\n(d)\nA statement of correction shall be effective as of the effective date of the filed record that it corrects except as to persons relying on the uncorrected filed record and adversely affected by the correction.
