Code § 3-1206.07a","heading":"Certified nurse practitioner.","body":"(a)\nIn addition to the functions authorized under § 3-1206.04, a certified nurse practitioner may provide a full range of primary, acute, and specialty healthcare services, including:\n(1)\nOrdering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays;\n(2)\nDiagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, and injuries;\n(3)\nPrescribing medications and other treatments;\n(4)\nManaging patients' or clients' overall care;\n(5)\nCounseling;\n(6)\nEducating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices; and\n(7)\nAny other functions and roles as may be prescribed by rules.","path":["Title 3.
