Code § 31-1302","heading":"Applicability.","body":"The proceedings authorized by this chapter may be applied to:\n\n(1)\nAll insurers who are doing, or have done, an insurance business in the District, and against whom claims arising from that business may exist now or in the future;\n\n(2)\nAll insurers who purport to do an insurance business in the District;\n\n(3)\nAll insurers who have insureds resident in the District;\n\n(4)\nAll other persons organized or in the process of organizing with the intent to do an insurance business in the District;\n\n(5)\nAll title insurance companies subject to the laws of the District;\n\n(6)\nAll prepaid health care delivery plans;\n\n(7)\nAll nonprofit service plans and all fraternal benefit societies and beneficial societies; and\n\n(8)\nAll insurers making contracts of fidelity or surety contracts or other negotiations preliminary to the executions of the contracts.","path":["Title 31.
