Code § 32-1051.05","heading":"Mayor's authority.","body":"The Mayor shall have the authority to:\n\n(1)\nInvestigate and ascertain the minimum work week of a covered employee;\n\n(2)\nEnter and inspect a covered location of a covered employer to:\n(A)\nInspect and copy:\n(i)\nBooks;\n(ii)\nRegisters;\n(iii)\nPayrolls; or\n(iv)\nOther records the Mayor considers necessary or appropriate; or\n(B)\nQuestion a covered employee to ascertain whether the covered employer is in compliance with the requirements of  this chapter;\n\n(3)\nRequire a covered employer to provide a sworn statement pertaining to the employment of a covered employee regarding:\n(A)\nWages and hours; and\n(B)\nAny other information pertaining to the employment of the covered employee that the Mayor considers necessary or appropriate to carry out the purposes of  this chapter; and\n\n(4)\nFollowing an admission of a violation by a respondent to a complaint, conduct an audit or issue a subpoena to determine if the rights of covered employees other than the complainant have also been violated.","path":["Title 32.
