Code § 36-601.03","heading":"Executive Director and Deputy Director.","body":"(a)\n(1)\nPursuant to § 1-204.24a(c), after consultation with the Mayor and the Council, the Chief Financial Officer shall appoint an Executive Director and a Deputy Director of the Office, each of whom shall serve at the pleasure of the Chief Financial Officer.\n(2)\nThe Chief Financial Officer shall determine the compensation for the Executive Director and the Deputy Director.\n(3)\nBefore performing the duties of their respective offices, the Executive Director and the Deputy Director shall take the oath of office as required by § 3-1302.\n\n(b)\n(1)\nSubject to the direction and supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Executive Director shall:\n(A)\nServe as the chief executive officer of the Office;\n(B)\nManage, administer, and coordinate the operation of public gambling and charitable games activities; and\n(C)\nEmploy other assistants and employees who shall serve at the pleasure of the Chief Financial Officer.\n(2)\n(A)\nThe Chief Financial Officer may delegate any of his or her functions to the Executive Director or to any other officer or employee of the Office, and may delegate to the Executive Director or other employee such other duties the Chief Financial Officer considers necessary for the proper and efficient operation of public gambling and charitable activities.\n(B)\nThe Executive Director may, with the approval of the Chief Financial Officer, make a further delegation of all or a part of the functions to subordinates under his or her jurisdiction.\n(C)\nThe Chief Financial Officer may revoke any delegation at any time.\n\n(c)\n[To obtain a sports wagering license, the Office may require fingerprinting of the individual, or group of individuals, seeking to obtain a sports wagering license.]","path":["Title 36.
