Code § 42-2067.03","heading":"Membership.","body":"(a)\nThe composition of the Advisory Council shall be as follows:\n(1)\nUp to 6 resident-owner representatives, each of whom who is currently a board member of an LEC in the District; provided, that no 2 residents shall be from the board of the same LEC;\n(2)\nTwo representatives from a community-based organization, including:\n(A)\nOne of whom has experience in the formation of LECs, including the legal and organizational structure of the LEC; and\n(B)\nOne of whom has experience in ongoing technical assistance required to sustain LECs;\n(3)\nOne representative from a property management company that manages cooperatives in the District;\n(4)\nOne representative from a development company that develops cooperatives in the District;\n(5)\nOne representative from a financial entity that specializes in the financing of LECs;\n(6)\nOne attorney who has experience working with LECs;\n(7)\nOne individual who has conducted significant academic research on LECs in the District and elsewhere in the United States;\n(8)\nOther representatives appointed by the Chairperson of the Council committee responsible for housing issues;\n(9)\nDevelopment (\"DHCD\"); and\n(10)\nOne representative from the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency.\n\n(b)\nThe Chairperson of the Council committee responsible for housing issues shall appoint the:\n(1)\nChair of the Advisory Council; and\n(2)\nAdvisory Council representatives designated in subsection (a)(1) through (8) of this section.\n\n(c)\nThe members of the Advisory Council shall:\n(1)\nServe for a period of 2 years;\n(2)\nEither reside or work in the District; and\n(3)\nServe without compensation.\n\n(d)\nMeetings of the Advisory Council shall be open to the public.\n\n(e)\nThe Advisory Council shall meet at least 6 times each year.\n\n(f)\nThe Advisory Council may request administrative support from the Director of DHCD, who shall provide support as the Director of DHCD and not as a member of the Advisory Council for all such reasonable requests to prepare for the required reports and meetings of the Advisory Council.","path":["Title 42.
