Code § 44-301.09","heading":"Assessment of insurers.","body":"(a)\nThe Mayor shall assess all insurers to cover all the costs of administering this chapter. The Mayor shall promulgate regulations to determine the assessment formula.\n\n(b)\n(1)\nThere is established as a special fund the Adverse Health Benefit Decision Grievance Fund (\"Fund\"), which shall be administered by the Mayor in accordance with paragraph (3) of this subsection.\n(2)\nPayments of the assessments imposed pursuant to subsection (a) of this section shall be deposited in the Fund.\n(3)\nMoney in the Fund shall be used to pay the costs of administering this chapter.\n(4)\nAny money remaining available in the Fund at the end of a fiscal year, as determined by the Chief Financial Officer in the fiscal year-end close, shall be transferred to the unassigned fund balance of the General Fund of the District of Columbia as part of the fiscal year-end close.","path":["Title 44.
