The curriculum shall be focused on training supervisory and on-site personnel so that they will provide appropriate security procedures for the various socioeconomic conditions at each educational facility. The curriculum shall include training in the following areas:\n\n(1)\nChild development;\n\n(2)\nEffective communication skills;\n\n(3)\nBehavior management;\n\n(4)\nConflict resolution;\n\n(5)\nSubstance abuse and its effect on youth;\n\n(6)\nAvailability of social services for youth;\n\n(7)\nDistrict of Columbia laws and regulations;\n\n(8)\nConstitutional standards for searches and seizures conducted by school resource officers on school grounds; and\n\n(9)\nGang and crew violence prevention.","path":["Title 5.
