Code § 50-2471","heading":"Rulemaking.","body":"(a)\nThe Mayor, pursuant to subchapter I of Chapter 5 of Title 2, may issue rules to implement the provisions of this chapter, including:\n(1)\nRules regarding towing, impoundment, and immobilization of vehicles in connection with enforcement of the District's parking restrictions;\n(2)\nEstablishing the amount of, and implementing a system for collecting, a vehicle conveyance fee, as that term is defined in § 50-2301.02(9);\n(3)\nEstablishing or modifying other cost-based fees that are within the scope of the Mayor's authority in order to implement the provisions of this chapter; and\n(4)\nEstablishing additional categories of vehicle infraction points or modifying the schedules of vehicle infraction points enumerated in § 50-2451.\n\n(b)\nIf the District enters into contracts with towing companies, or other contractors, that provide for such companies to receive full or salvage title to unclaimed vehicles, the Mayor may promulgate rules to implement the transfers consistent with the provisions of this chapter.","path":["Title 50.
