Code § 7-2011.02","heading":"Study of child development facilities with non-traditional hours.","body":"(a)\nOSSE shall contract with an entity to conduct a study to determine the number of child development facilities with non-traditional hours in the District that is sufficient to meet the needs of District families.\n\n(b)\nThe entity completing the study shall:\n(1)\nBe nationally recognized;\n(2)\nHave expertise and knowledge of the child care industry, including costs, quality, and access;\n(3)\nHave a demonstrated understanding of best practices in connecting families and consumers with the type of child care they need; and\n(4)\nHave conducted a breadth of research in advancing affordable and accessible child care that supports the development and learning of children.\n\n(c)\nAt a minimum, the study shall:\n(1)\nDetermine the need for child development facilities with non-traditional hours, including need by ward and by type of industry of parent employment;\n(2)\nEvaluate the current level of service being provided in the District, including:\n(A)\nThe total number of child development facilities with non-traditional hours currently operating in the District;\n(B)\nThe hours of operations of each facility;\n(C)\nThe location of each facility; and\n(D)\nWhether the facility participates in the child care subsidy program;\n(3)\nIdentify areas of unmet need, including wards, hours, and services; and\n(4)\nWith a particular focus on expanding the number of child development facilities that participate in the child care subsidy program, provide recommendations:\n(A)\nFor expanding the number of child development facilities with non-traditional hours; and\n(B)\nOn ways the District can incentivize more child development facilities to offer non-traditional hours.","path":["Title 7.
