Code § 7-2071.11","heading":"Advisory Council.","body":"(a)\nThe Ombudsman shall establish an Advisory Council to consist of members representing:\n(1)\nConsumers;\n(2)\nConsumer advocacy organizations and legal service providers, including at least one organization with a focus on public benefits;\n(3)\nHealth benefits plans;\n(4)\nHealth care facilities;\n(5)\nPhysicians;\n(6)\nThe Health Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program or any successor charged with counseling Medicare beneficiaries pursuant to section 4360 of the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1990, approved November 5, 1990 (104 Stat. 1388-138; 42 U.S.C.§ 1395b-4);\n(7)\nThe Department of Health, including its Office of Maternal and Child Health and its Grievance and Appeals Office;\n(8)\nThe Department of Insurance, Securities, and Banking;\n(9)\nDHS; and\n(10)\nDHCF.\n\n(b)\nThe Advisory Council shall perform, at minimum, the following functions:\n(1)\nAdvise the Ombudsman on program design and operational issues;\n(2)\nRecommend the criteria to be used in evaluating the performance of the Ombudsman Program;\n(3)\nRecommend changes in the Ombudsman Program; and\n(4)\nReview data on cases handled by the Ombudsman Program and make recommendations based on that data.","path":["Title 7.
