Code § 7-758.01","heading":"Families First DC.","body":"(a)\nThe Mayor may award grants to non-profit organizations to support the establishment and operation of Families First DC centers in District neighborhoods.\n\n(b)\nIn providing funding to support Families First DC success centers, priority shall be given to neighborhoods that have:\n(1)\nDisparities related to social determinants of health;\n(2)\nA need for community stabilization efforts; and\n(3)\nDisproportionate numbers of substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect.\n\n(c)\nGrants issued under this section shall be administered pursuant to the requirements set forth in part B of subchapter XII-A of Chapter 3 of Title 1.\n\n(d)\nFor the purposes of this section, the term \"Families First DC\" means a comprehensive neighborhood-based approach aimed at reducing social, economic, and health disparities among District residents and creating stronger, more resilient families, and supportive environments for children through focused access to District and private-sector services and resources based on neighborhood-specific needs and interests.","path":["Title 7.
