Code § 8-2205","heading":"General wildlife control operator license conditions.","body":"(a)\nTo obtain a wildlife control operator license, an applicant shall:\n(1)\nBe at least 18 years of age;\n(2)\nComplete a wildlife control operator training class approved by the Department;\n(3)\nPass an examination approved by the Department;\n(4)\nPay a fee in an amount specified by the Department; and\n(5)\nComply with all additional licensing requirements established by the Department.\n\n(b)\nA wildlife control operator may perform wildlife control only for wildlife that are designated on his or her license.\n\n(c)\nThe Department shall identify, by rule, the species of wildlife that may be controlled and specify the methods that may be used to control each species.\n\n(d)\nWildlife, or parts thereof, shall not be sold, bartered, traded, given to another person, or retained for any purpose; provided, that an animal may be given to a wildlife rehabilitator, veterinarian, or animal control officer for rehabilitation or euthanasia.\n\n(e)\nThe Department may, by rule, establish:\n(1)\nMinimum liability insurance requirements for wildlife control operators to ensure protection of District residents; and\n(2)\nAdditional licensing requirements for wildlife rehabilitators.\n\n(f)\nA wildlife control operator license shall not be transferable.\n\n(g)\nA wildlife control operator license shall be renewed biennially.","path":["Title 8.
