Stat. § 376.325","heading":"Alternative to containment and integrity plan requirements.","body":"(1) As an alternative to the requirements of s. 376.324, an owner or operator may choose to provide the department with certification by a professional engineer that no aboveground tank at the facility is in direct contact with the ground, and under and around each tank has been placed and sealed to its supports a secondary containment system which is either:\n(a) Designed and built to contain in excess of 110 percent of the capacity of the largest tank within the containment; or\n(b) Equipped with a drainage system routed to a permitted wastewater treatment system that is designed and built to contain accidental releases.\n(2) All new and replacement tanks installed after July 1, 1992, shall have secondary containment.\nHistory.—s. 6, ch. 90-98; s. 21, ch. 92-30.","path":["CHAPTER 376 POLLUTANT DISCHARGE PREVENTION AND REMOVAL"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute\u0026URL=0300-0399/0376/0376.html","current_through":"2026 Florida Statutes","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:04:29Z","sha256":"0f4087fb22f4a4289885c7a54c2257a628666b68fc1eed801d381679cce8ee19","source_id":"us-fl","stale":false,"prev":"us-fl/fla.-stat.-376.324","next":"us-fl/fla.-stat.-376.326"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
