Stat. § 429.53","heading":"Consultation by the agency.","body":"(1) The area offices of licensure and certification of the agency shall provide consultation to the following upon request:\n(a) A licensee of a facility.\n(b) A person interested in obtaining a license to operate a facility under this part.\n(2) As used in this section, “consultation” includes:\n(a) An explanation of the requirements of this part and rules adopted pursuant thereto;\n(b) An explanation of the license application and renewal procedures;\n(c) The provision of a checklist of general local and state approvals required prior to constructing or developing a facility and a listing of the types of agencies responsible for such approvals;\n(d) An explanation of benefits and financial assistance available to a recipient of supplemental security income residing in a facility;\n(e) Any other information which the agency deems necessary to promote compliance with the requirements of this part; and\n(f) A preconstruction review of a facility to ensure compliance with agency rules and this part.\n(3) The agency may charge a fee commensurate with the cost of providing consultation under this section.\nHistory.—ss. 15, 19, ch. 87-371; s. 22, ch. 89-294; ss. 34, 38, 39, ch. 93-216; s. 2, ch. 2006-197.","path":["CHAPTER 429 ASSISTED CARE COMMUNITIES"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute\u0026URL=0400-0499/0429/0429.html","current_through":"2026 Florida Statutes","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:05:53Z","sha256":"a4af2a6b3bc07f92aea3c5a3239a2c90bb032911481dce1b91768476205a2944","source_id":"us-fl","stale":false,"prev":"us-fl/fla.-stat.-429.52","next":"us-fl/fla.-stat.-429.54"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
