Stat. § 632.636","heading":"Violations; penalties.","body":"(1) The provisions of s. 624.15 shall apply with respect to:\n(a) Any person who willfully makes a false or fraudulent statement in or relating to an application for membership or for the purpose of obtaining money from or a benefit in any society;\n(b) Any person who solicits membership for, or in any manner assists in procuring membership in, any society not licensed to do business in this state;\n(c) Any person guilty of a willful violation of, or neglect or refusal to comply with, the provisions of this chapter for which a penalty is not otherwise prescribed.\n(2) Any person who willfully makes a false or fraudulent statement:\n(a) In any verified report or declaration under oath required or authorized by this chapter, or\n(b) Of any material fact or thing contained in a sworn statement concerning the death or disability of an insured for the purpose of procuring payment of a benefit named in the certificate,\nshall be guilty of perjury and shall be subject to the penalties therefor prescribed by law.\nHistory.—ss. 4, 6, ch. 86-140; s. 4, ch. 91-429.","path":["CHAPTER 632 FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETIES"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute\u0026URL=0600-0699/0632/0632.html","current_through":"2026 Florida Statutes","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T02:10:59Z","sha256":"5e3fd76d6113753c68188d034dd581f4277ec502fb02e10784c99cdd2bf330c3","source_id":"us-fl","stale":false,"prev":"us-fl/fla.-stat.-632.635","next":"us-fl/fla.-stat.-632.637"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
