{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-13-4","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 12-13-4","heading":"Exceptions to chapter.","body":"This chapter shall not apply to the following:\n(1) Any farm or residential tank of 1,100 gallons or less capacity used for storing motor fuel for noncommercial purposes;\n(2) Any tank used for storing heating oil for consumptive use on the premises where stored;\n(3) Any septic tank;\n(4) Any pipeline facility, including gathering lines:\n(A) Regulated under the Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Act of 1968, 49 U.S.C. Section 1671, et seq.;\n(B) Regulated under the Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety Act of 1979, 49 U.S.C. Section 2001, et seq.; or\n(C) Which is an intrastate pipeline facility regulated under state law comparable to the provisions of law referred to in subparagraph (A) or (B) of this paragraph;\n(5) Any surface impoundment, pit, pond, or lagoon;\n(6) Any storm-water or waste-water collection system;\n(7) Any flow-through process tank;\n(8) Any liquid trap or associated gathering lines directly related to oil or gas production and gathering operations; or\n(9) Any storage tank situated in an underground area (such as a basement, cellar, mine working, drift, shaft, or tunnel), if the storage tank is situated upon or above the surface of the floor.","path":["TITLE 12 Conservation And Natural Resources","CHAPTER 13 Underground Storage Tanks"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.12.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"b96073ab8dfd0060f8daae2fccea6f17e7dccffb1f9e6f0d735bd92d78c1b516","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-13-3","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-13-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
