{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-5-191","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 12-5-191","heading":"Prohibited acts.","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of Code Section 12-5-179 it shall be unlawful for any person to own or operate a public water system without first having secured a permit for such operation from the director.\n(b) It shall be unlawful for an owner or operator of a public water system to commit or cause the commission of the following acts:\n(1) Failure to comply with the requirements of Code Section 12-5-184 or dissemination of any false or misleading information with respect to notices required pursuant to Code Section 12-5-184 or with respect to remedial actions being undertaken to achieve compliance with the Georgia primary drinking water regulations;\n(2) Failure to comply with regulations promulgated pursuant to this part or with conditions for variances or exemptions authorized under Code Section 12-5-178.","path":["TITLE 12 Conservation And Natural Resources","CHAPTER 5 Water Resources","Article 3 Wells and Drinking Water","PART 5 Public Water Systems"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.12.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"a719980f6605e1f3f49d4eb2ce5a08aee9116d3f22f9387b9e0e455b92005f8d","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-5-190","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-5-192"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
