{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-6-253","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 12-6-253","heading":"Required recordkeeping and retention.","body":"(a) A person who participates in the procurement of palmetto berries shall maintain a legible record of all activities and purchase transactions of saw palmetto berries. Such record shall include the following information:\n(1) The names and addresses of such person and of the landowner;\n(2) The date or dates of harvesting;\n(3) The weight, quantity, or volume and a description of the type of saw palmetto berries harvested;\n(4) The amount of consideration given for the harvested saw palmetto berries and a copy of the check or voucher or documentation evidencing the electronic funds transfer given as consideration for such harvesting;\n(5) A signed statement from such person that he or she has the landowner’s permission to harvest saw palmetto berries; and\n(6) A scanned or photocopied copy of a valid personal identification card of such person and of the landowner.\n(b) A person required to record information as set forth in subsection (a) of this Code section shall maintain such records for not less than two years from the date of harvest.","path":["TITLE 12 Conservation And Natural Resources","CHAPTER 6 Forest Resources and Other Plant Life","Article 7 Palmetto Berries"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.12.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"7e7b2f9b8cfdaaac3d57e405a5868a5ad499811964baa25bb7454cb10efeaec0","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-6-252","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-12-6-254"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
