{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-15-11-444","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 15-11-444","heading":"Probation revocation.","body":"(a) An order granting probation to a child adjudicated to be a child in need of services may be revoked on the ground that the conditions of probation have been violated.\n(b) Any violation of a condition of probation may be reported to any person authorized to make a petition alleging that a child is in need of services as set forth in Code Section 15-11-420. A motion for revocation of probation shall contain specific factual allegations constituting each violation of a condition of probation.\n(c) A motion for revocation of probation shall be served upon the child, his or her attorney, and parent, guardian, or legal custodian in accordance with the provisions of Code Section 15-11-424.\n(d) If a child in need of services is taken into custody because of the alleged violation of probation, the provisions governing the detention of a child under this article shall apply.\n(e) A revocation hearing shall be scheduled to be held no later than 30 days after the filing of a motion to revoke probation.\n(f) If the court finds, beyond a reasonable doubt, that a child in need of services violated the terms and conditions of probation, the court may:\n(1) Extend his or her probation;\n(2) Impose additional conditions of probation; or\n(3) Make any disposition that could have been made at the time probation was imposed.","path":["TITLE 15 Courts","CHAPTER 11 Juvenile Code","Article 5 Child in Need of Services","PART 6 Adjudication, Disposition, and Reviews"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.15.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"620ab85857e071ff5ea3505f7e388c00cde867deefc1ae37fc3002b283b67e11","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-15-11-443","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-15-11-445"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
