{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-16-11-109","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 16-11-109","heading":"Activities prohibited to person charged with violation of subsection (a) of Code Section 16-11-108; penalty for violation of Code section; surrender of hunting license.","body":"(a) It shall be unlawful during the pendency of such charges and any period of license revocation and ineligibility pursuant to Code Section 16-11-110 for any person charged with or convicted of a violation of subsection (a) of Code Section 16-11-108 to either:\n(1) Hunt without a license in violation of Code Section 27-2-1; or\n(2) Possess a Georgia hunting license other than a temporary hunting license issued by the director of the Game and Fish Division of the Department of Natural Resources pursuant to the provisions of subsection (c) of Code Section 16-11-108.\n(b) Any person who violates subsection (a) of this Code section shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, or both.\n(c) Upon conviction of a violation of subsection (a) of this Code section, the court shall, within 15 days of such conviction, forward any hunting license found in the possession of the convicted person and a copy of the record of the disposition of the case to the Game and Fish Division of the Department of Natural Resources.","path":["TITLE 16 Crimes and Offenses","CHAPTER 11 Offenses Against Public Order and Safety","Article 4 Dangerous Instrumentalities and Practices","PART 1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.16.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"279e0fe86ce512e3428b0583c5083856add266e592be990ecc0fd9c123ecca47","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-16-11-108","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-16-11-110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
