{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-25-9-10.1","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 25-9-10.1","heading":"Cooperation with the Department of Transportation.","body":"(a) (1) On and after July 1, 2023, the Department of Transportation shall participate in and cooperate with the UPC for purposes of receiving locate requests in the Department of Transportation’s right of way for underground facilities following a process consistent with Code Sections 25-9-6, 25-9-7, and 25-9-8 and subsection (a) of Code Section 25-9-9.\n(2) The Department of Transportation shall not be subject to the provisions of subsection (b) of Code Section 25-9-9 or the enforcement provisions of subsections (h) and (i) of Code Section 25-9-14.\n(3) The Department of Transportation shall not participate in the funding of the UPC or its activities.\n(b) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to deem the Department of Transportation to be a utility owner or a utility provider.","path":["TITLE 25 Fire Protection and Safety","CHAPTER 9 Blasting or Excavating Near Underground Facilities"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.25.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"f02c5adb95f0cdb8f5773290a30af3ee3b167aa1e128bb4eccfaee18bb9e75a4","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-25-9-10","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-25-9-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
