In addition to any action which may be taken to reprimand a licensee or to revoke or suspend a license, any person who violates any provision of this chapter or any regulation promulgated pursuant to this chapter or any term or condition of licensure may be subject to a civil penalty of not more than $10,000.00, to be imposed by the department.
