{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-31-7-175","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 31-7-175","heading":"Administration of article.","body":"(a) The administration of this article is vested in the Department of Community Health which shall:\n(1) Prepare and furnish all forms necessary under the provisions of this article in relation to the application for licensure or renewals thereof;\n(2) After consultation with appropriate public interest groups, adopt rules within the standards of this article necessary to effect the purposes of this article; and\n(3) Establish comprehensive rules and regulations for the licensure of hospices.\n(b) Rules promulgated by the department shall include but not be limited to the following:\n(1) The qualifications of professional and ancillary personnel in order to furnish adequate hospice care;\n(2) Comprehensive standards for the organization and quality of patient care;\n(3) Procedures for maintaining records;\n(4) Comprehensive standards for inpatient facilities, to include specifications that the hospice retain primary responsibility for the coordination of inpatient hospice care;\n(5) Provision for contractual arrangements for professional and ancillary hospice services; and\n(6) Provisions for the imposition of administrative fines for any violations of any provisions of this article or of department rules or regulations.","path":["TITLE 31 Health","CHAPTER 7 Regulation and Construction of Hospitals and Other Health Care Facilities","Article 9 Hospice Care"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.31.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"47600d1c15368a9e2ff881c75bbecf44bd64fa960eb1a0dc3e401213dbbba6c1","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-31-7-174","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-31-7-176"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
