Employment with a temporary help contracting firm is characterized by a series of limited-term assignments of an employee to a third party, based on a contract between the temporary help contracting firm and the third party. A separate employment contract exists between the temporary help contracting firm and each individual it hires as an employee. Completion of an assignment for a third party by an employee employed by a temporary help contracting firm does not, in itself, terminate the employment contract between the temporary help contracting firm and the employee.","path":["TITLE 34 Labor and Industrial Relations","CHAPTER 8 Employment Security","Article 2 Definitions"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.34.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"f33fe3e365807d25cffc49444c1b1b854d75538c7d7ed3aaca04ec8456437f50","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-34-8-45","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-34-8-47"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
