{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-11a-9","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 43-11A-9","heading":"Eligibility for license.","body":"Each applicant for a license as a dietitian shall be at least 18 years of age, shall have submitted a completed application upon a form and in such manner as the board prescribes, accompanied by applicable fees, and shall be in compliance with the following requirements:\n(1) Receipt of a baccalaureate or higher degree from a college or university accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges or any other regional accreditation agency with a major course of study in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, nutrition education, or food systems management;\n(2) Satisfactory completion of a documented, supervised experience component in dietetic practice of not less than 900 hours supervised by a licensed dietitian or registered dietitian as prescribed by the board;\n(3) Successful completion of an examination as required by Code Section 43-11A-13; and\n(4) Completion of such other requirements as may be prescribed by the board.","path":["TITLE 43 Professions And Businesses","CHAPTER 11A Dietitians"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.43.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"1399504dee29ea729ff0e3124dde1cfd3311d88db82c221a48342ac6e2ae6f1f","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-11a-8","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-11a-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
