{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-26-10","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 43-26-10","heading":"Practicing as a registered professional nurse without a license prohibited.","body":"It shall be a misdemeanor for any person, including any corporation, association, or individual, to:\n(1) Practice nursing as a registered professional nurse, without a valid, current license, except as otherwise permitted under Code Section 43-26-12;\n(2) Practice nursing as a registered professional nurse under cover of any diploma, license, or record illegally or fraudulently obtained, signed, or issued;\n(3) Practice nursing as a registered professional nurse during the time the license is suspended, revoked, surrendered, or administratively revoked for failure to renew;\n(4) Use any words, abbreviations, figures, letters, title, sign, card, or device implying that such person is a registered professional nurse or advanced practice registered nurse unless such person is duly licensed or recognized by the board so to practice under the provisions of this article;\n(5) Fraudulently furnish a license to practice nursing as a registered professional nurse;\n(6) Knowingly employ any person to practice nursing as a registered professional nurse who is not a registered professional nurse;\n(7) Conduct a nursing education program preparing persons to practice nursing as registered professional nurses unless the program has been approved by the board; or\n(8) Knowingly aid or abet any person to violate this article.","path":["TITLE 43 Professions And Businesses","CHAPTER 26 Nurses","Article 1 Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.43.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"f5acd8c6e7cf9f394b445e12de5d945b1cf842231d9a030ba16e7bc7eff8e018","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-26-9.1","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-26-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
