{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-4a-13","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 43-4A-13","heading":"Prohibited activities of athlete agent.","body":"(a) An athlete agent shall not, with the intent to induce a student athlete to enter into an agency contract:\n(1) Give any materially false or misleading information or make a materially false promise or representation;\n(2) Furnish anything of value to a student athlete before the student athlete enters into the agency contract; or\n(3) Furnish anything of value to an individual other than the student athlete or another registered athlete agent.\n(b) An athlete agent shall not intentionally:\n(1) Initiate contact with a student athlete unless registered under this chapter;\n(2) Refuse or fail to retain or permit inspection of the records required to be retained by this chapter;\n(3) Fail to register when required by this chapter;\n(4) Provide materially false or misleading information in an application for registration or renewal of registration;\n(5) Predate or postdate an agency contract; or\n(6) Fail to notify a student athlete before the student athlete signs or otherwise authenticates an agency contract for a particular sport that such signing or authentication may make the student athlete ineligible to participate as a student athlete in that sport.","path":["TITLE 43 Professions And Businesses","CHAPTER 4A Athlete Agents"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.43.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"55f7aadd8c4c0f23fbde0e240608aad9ae002c6a07a91bc7c538ccb3efeb2558","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-4a-12","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-43-4a-14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
