{"data":{"id":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-49-5-160","jurisdiction":"us-ga","citation":"O.C.G.A. § 49-5-160","heading":"Definitions; qualifications.","body":"As used in this article, the term:\n(1) “Licensed” means an individual who has been licensed pursuant to Chapter 10A, 26, 34, or 39 of Title 43.\n(2) “Organization” means a nonprofit charitable organization which is exempt from taxation under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code, which:\n(A) Serves children who have run away or children who are homeless;\n(B) Has qualified staff on duty at all hours the organization is open for service; and\n(C) Employs at least one individual who is licensed pursuant to Chapter 10A, 26, 34, or 39 of Title 43.\n(3) “Qualified staff” means having:\n(A) All staff who directly interact with children receive training on emergency evacuation procedures, service protocols, and the mandatory child abuse reporting requirements set forth in Code Section 19-7-5; and\n(B) All staff have had a criminal record check conducted in accordance with Article 5 of this chapter.","path":["TITLE 49 Social Services","CHAPTER 5 Programs and Protection for Children and Youth","Article 7 Registration of Organizations Providing Services to Runaway and Homeless Youth"],"source_url":"https://archive.org/download/gov.ga.ocga.2018/release86.2022.11/gov.ga.ocga.title.49.odt","current_through":"Release 86 (2022-11)","vintage":"Public.Resource.Org bulk O.C.G.A., Release 86 (2022-11), retrieved 2026-09-17","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T19:34:57Z","sha256":"0efcb6107d671e402493a1ae00c607c2f61b0795ec841e130ec64aa7af7abc86","source_id":"us-ga","stale":false,"prev":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-49-5-156","next":"us-ga/o.c.g.a.-49-5-161"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
