{"data":{"id":"us-gu/1-gca-1606","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"1 GCA § 1606","heading":"Powers of the Compiler of Laws Relative to Revision.","body":"In preparing the Guam Code Annotated, the Guam Administrative Rules and Regulations, court reports and other publications of the Office, the Compiler of Laws may:\n(a) Number and renumber chapters, sections and parts of sections;\n(b) Rearrange sections so that they fit harmoniously within the publication being prepared;\n(c) Change reference numbers to agree with renumbered chapters, parts, or sections;\n(d) Substitute the proper selection or chapter numbers for the terms ‘the preceding section’, ‘this act’, and like terms;\n(e) Strike out figures where they are merely a repetition of written words;\n(f) Change capitalization for the purposes of uniformity; and\n(g) Correct manifest clerical errors or typographical errors.","path":["Title 1: General Provisions","Chapter 16: Compiler of Laws"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/1gc016.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T02:05:48Z","sha256":"6fd7ed6b277107de5170896fe06de964d1156bd7ee61becbfb2e03eb2096f0b5","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/1-gca-1605","next":"us-gu/1-gca-1607"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
