The amount, degree and pattern of supervision a practitioner requires varies depending on the employment setting, method of service provision, the practitioner’s competence and the demands of service. The occupational therapist is responsible for the evaluation of the client or patient. The treatment plan may be developed by the occupational therapist in collaboration with the occupational therapy assistant.
