{"data":{"id":"us-gu/10-gca-12511","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"10 GCA § 12511","heading":"Refusal, Suspension or Revocation of License.","body":"(a) The Board may refuse to issue, suspend or revoke any license, for any of the following reasons:\n(1) conviction of a felony, as shown by a certified copy of the record of the court of conviction;\n(2) malpractice or incompetence;\n(3) continued practice by a person knowingly having an infectious or contagious disease;\n(4) advertising by means of knowingly false, misleading or deceptive statements or advertising or attempting to practice under a name other than one’s own;\n(5) habitual drunkenness or addiction to the use of habit-forming drugs;\n(6) aiding or abetting in the practice of optometry any person not duly licensed to practice optometry in Guam;\n(7) lending, leasing or in any other manner placing his or her certificate of license at the disposal or in the service of any person not licensed to practice optometry in Guam;\n(8) employing, procuring or inducing an unlicensed person to practice optometry in Guam; or\n(9) violating any of the provisions of this Article or the rules adopted by the Board.","path":["Title 10: Health and Safety","Division 1 - Public Health","Chapter 12: Medical Practices: Part 1: Articles 1 - 10","PART 1","ARTICLE 5: OPTOMETRY"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/10gc012-1_0.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T02:54:48Z","sha256":"b9ec443d3e4657794df192fc76cca97aafb733f049a0704c7c5911a1938c6d9a","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/10-gca-12510","next":"us-gu/10-gca-12512"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
