{"data":{"id":"us-gu/10-gca-20101","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"10 GCA § 20101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this Part:\n(a) Department means the Department of Public Health and Social Services;\n(b) Director means the Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services;\n(c) Person includes any individual, firm, partnership, joint venture, association, trust, estate, other group or combination acting as a unit, agency or agent of the foregoing other than agencies of the Federal government or any successor thereto;\n(d) Public nuisance means anything that is determined by the Director to be dangerous to life, injurious to health or renders soil, air, water or food impure or unwholesome;\n(e) Drink means a liquid suitable for swallowing by a human or domestic animals;\n(f) Foodhandler means any person who is involved in the storage, manufacture, preparation, handling, sale, dispensing or serving of food or drink to the public; or who works in any estab-lishment or business which stores, manufactures, prepares, handles, sells, dispenses or serves food or drink intended for human consumption; and\n(g) Food means a material consisting essentially of protein, carbohydrate and fat used to sustain growth and repair vital processes of a human or animal and used for consumption by man or domestic animals.","path":["Title 10: Health and Safety","Division 2 - Environmental Health","Chapter 20: General Provisions","PART 1: ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/10gc020.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T02:55:58Z","sha256":"13bb6c00164557c6070547b3cb2579ac9478763e3ba62daf977f6ffcb99a498b","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/10-gca-19809","next":"us-gu/10-gca-20102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
